DMRC Shuts 16 Central Delhi Metro Stations As CJP Protest Intensifies At Jantar Mantar (X)
New Delhi: Amid Cockroach Janata Party's protests in the national capital, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Wednesday has taken a major decision. Due to security reasons, about 16 metro stations in and around Delhi have been closed to passengers until further notice.
According to an update from the DMRC, these 16 stations will remain closed until further notice and trains will not stop there. However, for the convenience of passengers, the ability to change metro lines at three interchange stations has been kept open.
Passengers can change from one line to another at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House and Central Secretariat stations, but will not be allowed to exit or enter these stations.

The Delhi Metro announced the closure of 16 metro stations in a statement posted on X. Here is the list of 16 metro stations that will remain closed:

According to the DMRC, passenger traffic will be completely closed at these stations due to security reasons. However, interchange facilities will remain available at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, and Central Secretariat metro stations.
The DMRC has clarified that interchange facilities will be available for passengers at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, and Central Secretariat stations. Furthermore, passengers are advised to check the latest Metro information before commuting and use alternative routes.
In view of the demonstration by CJP in Delhi, security arrangements have been tightened in New Delhi and VVIP areas. CJP protesters continued their sit-in at Jantar Mantar on Wednesday as security was heightened in the central Delhi area.
